I am a graduate of Universidade de São Paulo (USP) Brazil, B.S. in Computer Science, class of 2007, campus of São Carlos – SP.
I’ve co-authored Globalizejs, an i18n library for JavaScript used by Twitter, PayPal, and other big companies. The project is part of the jQuery Foundation, which later became JS Foundation. During this time, I learned a lot about globalization, got talks accepted by an important conference of the area (International Unicode Conference) for many years where I presented the work about Globalizejs and how it was being used by different tech companies [1] [2] [3] [4].
On late 2016, I joined the internationalization team at PayPal as a Senior Software Engineer.
In the past, I’ve worked for IBM, as a Software Engineer and eventually led the Brazilian team of Q&A and Performance at Linux Technology Center (LTC). I quitted IBM to dedicate full time into building an internet company called Simbora whose goal was to help people find ride or any transit activity in general. The goal was to answers questions like “Anyone driving from college to my town?” or “Who from work is going to a conference?”. The business didn’t work out, but it was an interesting journey for me where I learned a lot.
